Teeth Whitening

If you want to look your best for your upcoming wedding, photoshoot, graduation, or other big events, there’s no better way to brighten your smile than with teeth whitening treatment. Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that helps to whiten teeth by removing stains, blemishes, and discoloration. It is the most-requested cosmetic dental procedure for two main reasons: First, it boosts one’s confidence, and second, it’s a sign of a healthy mind and body.

What are the benefits of teeth whitening?

Whiter teeth can make you look younger and your smile more attractive. You can enjoy many other benefits such as:

  • Improve self-confidence
  • Healthier mouth and teeth
  • Increase social acceptance (people will be more attracted to you)
  • Helps get rid of bad habits (smoking and excessive coffee drinking)
  • A bright smile means a bright future (increases job opportunity)
  • Safe and affordable procedure with immediate results

What are teeth whitening procedures?

There are two basic types of teeth whitening procedures:

  1. In-Office Teeth Whitening

This procedure is performed in a dental office. An in-office whitening treatment may include the use of a whitening light to enhance the effectiveness of the whitening gel.

  1. At-Home Teeth Whitening

To whiten the teeth at home, the dentist takes impressions of your teeth and prepares custom-fitted trays. The whitening gel is placed in custom-fitted trays that fit perfectly over your teeth.

At-Home VS. In-office teeth whitening – which is the Best?

You can whiten your teeth at home with an at-home teeth whitening kits, but you can achieve better and safer results with Professional teeth whitening. With so many options available to brighten your smile, it can be difficult to choose the right method for you. The best way to begin any teeth whitening treatment is to schedule an appointment and consult with your dentist about the differences between in-office and at-home teeth whitening techniques in detail.

Am I a good candidate for teeth whitening?

You are the best candidate for teeth whitening if you are:

  • Experiencing stained and discolored teeth
  • Knowledgeable about the procedure
  • Realistic in expectations

How safe Is teeth whitening?

In-office teeth whitening is monitored by a professional dentist, ensuring that your dental health is maintained throughout the process. There are several reasons why professional teeth whitening treatment is safer than over-the-counter products. Your dentist will have you wear protective goggles and use gels and rubber shields to protect your gums from exposure to the active bleaching ingredients during the in-office teeth whitening procedure.

What complications can you expect after the teeth whitening procedure?

You may experience sensitivity for a while, especially if the teeth are already sensitive. Sometimes, gums might get irritated due to the whitening gel, especially if you opt in-home teeth whitening procedure.

Risks of complications can be drastically reduced if you undergo professional teeth whitening treatment by our expert dentist.

How do I protect my teeth after a whitening procedure?

After undergoing professional teeth whitening treatment, it’s important to take some precautions to avoid staining of your teeth again such as:

  • Avoid beverages and food that stains the teeth i.e. coffee, tea, berries, and tomato sauce.
  • Sip from a straw
  • Quit smoking
  • Get a teeth cleaning done every 6 months
